Final Project Seeds

The seed holds the tree, in it's entirety.

Today we will be constructing a pitch for our final projects.

The world is your oyster but if you are feeling stuck, you are free to build off of the following as a place to begin:

✤ A Portfolio Website: Take this time to work on professional development.

✤ Linked Archive: This could be a collection of some kind that is different from your design work

✤ A Maze: Build a narrative storyline that unfolds as a web maze or a “choose your own adventure” type of deal with multiple possible outcomes.

✤ Team Project: Work together as a pair or in a team on a larger endeavor to develop your own magazine, brand, or collaborative studio.

I am requiring your pitch to be built and turned in to the server as a .html document. 😈

Please compile a pitch for your final project direction. I understand that as you work, your process my change, but let's lay some groundwork.

Pitch Requirements:

✤ Screenshot each page of your site categories presentation.

Insert the images into your html file like this:

Remember, like links and pages. It is important to understand the path you are laying out with your images to link them properly. Also be mindful of cases.

Then,

✤ Expand on your idea by encorporating a draft color scheme and font choices into your page, through html.

✤ Create a self-imposed schedule for yourself with checkpoints. (This can be as extensive as you want, but if you feel stuck try using our class times as checkpoints.

Example:

[by 11/11] All content will be gathered and organized (describe content needed)
[by 11/13] I will bring this into code or web platform and begin building
[by 11/18] I will have my page organization structure decided and begin coming up with an idea for how the site will be navigated.

etc.

✤ Finally, IMPORTANT Make sure your html page is labeled “lastname_seed.html" and all of your materials are present in a folder titled ”lastname”, then that folder is uploaded to the server under the folder I created called "seed." All lowercase. In the past I have renamed files myself to be uploaded so that things work properly but I will not be doing that this time.

You will NOT receive credit (50 pts) for your seed, or be able to present, if you do not abide by the above. Please make sure before you leave class that everything is working properly. After you upload you can check the links at the bottom of this page to test.
